There is no better indicator of growth in the new life than in the area of giving. This passage deals with one’s attitude, “God loveth a cheerful giver”. Just as important is motive, God looks at the heart and known our intent (Heb. 4:12). The person who fails to honor God with their money actually robs God (Mal. 3:8). For the child who honors God with their money, God promises abundant blessings and the provision of their every need (Phil. 4:19). Giving then is the key to growth in the new life.
